Van Bael & Bellis gleams in Chambers Global with top-tier positions for its EU competition, international trade and M&A practices

Van Bael & Bellis has been recognised once again as a market-leading firm by Chambers & Partners in its annual Global rankings, where 16 lawyers have been highly recommended for their expertise while also seeing an improvement in their individual rankings.
Fourteen Van Bael & Bellis’ EU Competition partners are ranked by Chambers and have seen their achievements recognised by an improved ranking for the competition practice. Van Bael & Bellis partner Porter Elliot has seen an increase in his personal ranking for Chambers Global, while founding partner Jean-François Bellis maintains his position as a "senior statesman" for both EU competition and trade practices.
Improved rankings have also been given to international trade partners Fabrizio Di Gianni and Pablo Muñiz, while the firm's managing partner, Philippe De Baere, has maintained his title as a "star individual" for international trade.
Head of the firm’s Belgian competition practice Peter L'Ecluse is now ranked by Chambers Global in view of his specialised expertise in domestic competition.
The firm’s corporate M&A practice and litigation teams continue to be recognised for their key roles in highly complex transactions and cases involving prominent multinational clients.
